 The Alpine Ski Club 2011 meet for independent ski mountaineers, is provisionally scheduled the week 22-30 Jan 2011. It will be based on a pension in the Italian / Austrian Alps as a base. The tours will include ascents of peaks of ESC standard E2/S2/M2 to E3/S4/M3 - accessible by local transport or car. Potential venues include, Southern Dolomites, South Tirol (Italian side of the Oetztal border ridge) or Val 'd'Ossola-Simplon area (Previous venues include, Grand St Bernard Pass, Ampezzano Dolomites and Brenner Pass-Stubai ).
The meet is open to ASC members or to ski mountaineers with unguided touring experience who meet the requirements for Alpine Ski Club full or aspirant membership (See ASC web site).
